1. Guest speaker, Sharla Muralt from
Nettworth
Spoke about scholarships they give away
every year to the children of CWA members going to college (end
of May), 401k, pensions, IRA’s, social security speaker July 18th

2. Approved the minutes from the 6/12/07

3. Welcomed our newest members; Donna
Carter and Tiffany Tolliver |

4. Alexis gave an overview of her time at
the Summer School for Union Women at Evergreen State College in
Olympia, Wa. |

5. CLUW convention 10/10-10/13, Lemmell
Brown will attend. Will try to send another member, Alexis
Stine. |

6. Update on Women’s shelter donation
boxes, not as good of a turn out as in Dec, but still getting
donations throughout the Bell Plaza building, going on thru
7/31/07. |

7. Aug 11th Street Fair for
families to get backpacks and school supplies, we can get more
info from Joan Huey. |

8. “Light the Night Walk” at Greenlake and
Tulalip Amphitheather Sat Sept 15th, registration
begins at 5:30p. We will determine at the next meeting if we
want to participate in that. |

9. Walk for hope, is in Oct, which is also
breast cancer awarness month. Do we want to participate in this.
It’s similar to the Race for the Cure. We will decide at the
next meeting as well. Along with what we want to do for Oct. |

10. WSLC Women’s committee meeting 6/25/07
they need donations for their silent auction at the WSLC
Convention held in Aug. The money goest to their scholarship
fund. (Which helped pay for Lemmell and Alexis to attend the
Summer School for women in June) Gave info on the MomsRising
Organization, will send the link to everyone. Can also get a
boycott list on the national AFL-CIO website. |

12. CWA Newsletter deadline Sept 4th
an article on our activies and upcoming activities to be put in
the newsletter. Along with reports from Alexis and Lemmell. |

Naiela discussed the 7/25/07 multifaith
works training from 6:30p to 7:30p. More full day training to be
in the fall. Got volunteers. |
