Still in need of a coordinator to stand in for Naiela when she is out of town, 2 people have shown interest neither was in attendance at meeting. Sharon Goff volunteered as secretary.

5.      Multifaith works

Naiela and Dean gave wonderful reports of their training for Multifaith Works on October 13. Both advised that it would be a beneficial experience for everyone, even if you choose not to be on a care team. Both also advised CWA is the only union involved so far. A training is in works to be set up specifically for CWA if we can get enough volunteers (10-15) to warrant it.

6.      Budget and conferences

We were advised that $5000.00 had been cut from the lump sum of the requested $15000.00 for conferences. We looked at all the proposed conferences; C B T U, APRI, Multifaith Works, National Minority Caucus, District 7 Committee on Equity, National Committee on Equity, and Pride at Work. It was decided by unanimous committee vote to remove Multifaith works, and District 7 Committee on equity. This will allow the remaining conferences to be budgeted $2000.00 each.

7.      Upcoming events / Roundtable

Amber spoke advising of the Women’s Committee handing out ice scraper key chains 10/26 in support of Domestic Violence awareness, invited Equity Committee to assist.

Paul advised everyone to remember to Vote on November 6, or send in your absentee ballots. Absentee ballots can be delivered to voting precinct on November 6 as well.

Dean spoke about buying extra candy during Halloween to donate towards the Pride parade. With 125 pounds of candy we still ran out last year.
