order at 12:36pm. Reading of the last meetings minutes were

Dean Sparks gave information
on the Pride Parade for 06/25/06. It was agreed that there
would be a meeting spot here at the Qwest Building at 9:30am.
Snacks and beverages would be provided for the participants of
the parade. Also, Shannon Yeager agreed for us to use his truck
for the parade. The committee agreed upon purchasing a $60.00
gas card for allowing us to use his truck. |

Charles Thomas and Michael
Lynch gave oral presentations on the CBTU conference they
attended in Orlando, Florida. Also Charles gave information on
a Grassroots presentation/training that he attended |

Chair Naiela Long advised
everyone that at the next meeting there will be a brainstorming
of 2007 budget items for the Equity Committee |

T-Shirt would like to be
purchased out of the 2006 remaining budget. Malachy S.
suggested that we hold off on the shirts and include them in our
2007 budget. Amber, Naiela and Michael were gearing up for the
National Minority Caucus for July 2006. The local 7800 website
was experiencing technical problems. Malachy stated that it is
in the process of being fixed. |

was having a BBQ at Coulon Beach that Saturday. Tommy Streets
asked what exactly the mission statement is for the Equity
Committee… Candi Theisen advised there would be a rally at the
Westin hotel on 06/15. Wendell Brunk advised he is re-joining
