in Washington DC in 2009. |

4. April 22 was Equal Pay Day; wear RED
– Thank you to Sharon Goff for making the flyers. |

5. Union Leaders of the Future
scholarship deadline is 5/30/08. There is a link for the
application on our local website. |

6. ABTP formerly BETA 25th
Anniversary celebration was 4/25-4/26 was a great event,
pictures will come soon. |

7. Still working on other locals in our
district to partner up with. Need volunteers to help with
this project. |

8. Our committee was discussed by Susie
McAllister at the District 7 conference in UT. Way to go! |

9. Partner up with Qwest women on
events/activates; since CWA is part of the joint resource
groups. Qwest for the Cure; can join under our very own
Terry Mitchell. |

10. Partner up with Equity Committee
for a car wash in July/Aug proceeds to go to the Pediatric
Aids foundation; PRIDE parade Jun 29th, Equity
needs candy for this. |

11. Need someone to work on domestic
hotlines that we can volunteer at. |

12. Naiela talked about the local look
into getting a time share for our travels to help on cost. |

13. Committee fair to see about having
one soon. |

14. Naiela talked about a fundraiser to
have a hotdog sale in the CFS to raise money for the
Pediatric Aids foundation |

15. There were surveys done at the
district 7 conference by the Equity/Women’s district
committees; the results not in yet. |

16. Maybe have a meet and greet with
other locals in Washington, to get other women’s committees
going in their locals. |

17. Jennifer advised an Inter-culture
Women’s conference sat. 5/17. Jennifer will try to go to it. |

18. Jennifer volunteered to chair the
Jun meeting while Amber is at the minority conference and
convention. |

19. Jason will see if he can get
information on the domestic violence hotline. |
|
20. Terry talked about mobilization
stating, Malachy had talked about the red flyers saying
union member on it, or blank purple paper we can’t do those. |
|
21. Kathy needs members to join the
mobilization committee or even to help volunteer to hand out
flyers on Thursdays. |

22. Jennifer stated that other members
have talked to her about wanting their voices to be heard,
and that they want more information from the local. Advised
that these members can come to membership meetings,
committee meetings, or even send correspondence to the local
to be heard at these meetings. |
