Minutes from the Retiree Officer Chapter Call February 8, 2021

On our last conf call we discussed staying home and staying healthy and what we can do to support each other. We also need to reach out to our retirees.

1. AT&T Legacy T – Our contract expires in 2023. Open enrollment is closed, many have decided to wait until next year to see how things go with the new HC option. AT&T mailed a letter to all retirees about the life insurance and death benefit. I forwarded to you what Kim Wilburn said.

The year is just flying by. I had the privilege of attending The CWA District 7 Conference by zoom this year. Also in attendance via zoom were Art Cuellar, Chris Walker, Diane Tarantino, and Ryan Paulson. It is definitely different over zoom than in person. We discussed lots of things related to all of the bargaining units on Thursday and got to hear CWA National President Chris Shelton speak. The National is asking to use more money from our reserve fund to help with hiring new staff representatives and new organizers.
